Duke Michaels is a seasoned country-rock musician, producer, and singer-songwriter known for his heartfelt storytelling and dedication to traditional American music.

Based in Fawnskin, California, Michaels has been active in the music industry for over three decades, producing and performing original work through his independent label, SawMill Records, which he co-founded with his wife, Peggy Baldwin. His style blends alternative country with classic rock influences, drawing inspiration from legends like Merle Haggard and George Strait.

Michaels began performing live at age 10 and later entertained U.S. troops overseas from 1998 to 2005 with his band, the Wolf Creek Band. His upcoming album, “LA Cowboy,” features 14 self-produced tracks and marks a return to his roots in country-alternative music. Despite not being a household name, Michaels is celebrated for his authenticity and unwavering commitment to his craft.
Peggy Baldwin
Peggy Baldwin is a classically trained cellist and music contractor known for her versatile performances across symphonic, chamber, and studio settings.

Based in Fawnskin, California, Baldwin’s musical journey began in the Pacific Northwest and led her to graduate with honors from the University of Southern California. She earned early acclaim as principal cellist with the Fresno Philharmonic, where her orchestral solos were widely praised. Baldwin has performed with numerous ensembles, including Angels of Venice, Notes From The Edge, and the Benjamin Wright String Orchestra, and has contributed to over 100 studio recordings.

Her solo album “String of Whispers” showcases her expressive range and commitment to exploring the cello’s voice in unique musical contexts. Baldwin continues to be active in both live performance and studio work, bringing depth and elegance to every project she undertakes.
